Had never been here before. Often drove past and thought that looks nice. Anyway a colleague booked our Christmas meal here. OMG What a treat. A warm welcome from Darren on arrival. Waiting staff were happy and helpful. All courses served hot and fresh. Food delicious. I speak for all my colleagues when I say we will be back. I'm even treating my son to a lunch here before he has to return from leave. Thank you Darren for a great experience
Very good menu with a lot of variety. Reasonable prices and a selection of cheaper deals. Drinks are not too badly priced too. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is quite a few tables and they cater for larger parties.Definitely recommend it
A friendly welcome. Food is good and very reasonably priced. Fast service even though the pub was busy.
Not a hope in hells chance that I will return to this place to eat. I went here with work ladies for a Christmas lunch. Burnt food, rock hard rolls you couldn't even cut they were so hard.. mean mean Christmas pud, thin slices then having to ask for custard. The inclusive price should have come with tea or coffee but we were told it would cost extra. Perhaps if I'm generous it could be put down to under staffing. But let's face it, we were the customers and just wanted a nice edible meal. The reality was far from that. It's a shame because I use other Greenking pubs in the area and they are super. This place is a let down. Pull your socks up Chestnut Tree.
Good value for money. Food is always good, drinks reasonable. Place is clean and comfortable. What's not to like?
